I have over 12 years experience as a newborn photographer. I’ve photographed hundreds of babies and I’m fully trained in baby safety – so you can feel confident knowing that your little one will be in safe hands as you sit back and relax at the studio, watching me gently pose your baby, taking beautiful, forever photographs for you and your family.

When to book
Newborn sessions are ideally held within the first two weeks of babies arrival, with the best time being around 5 to 12 days old, so we ask that you call us within two days of baby’s birth if possible, and then we can usually get you booked in within the ideal timescales. However, this is just a guide and please feel free to get in touch if you’ve left it until later – we’ll always do our best to accommodate your needs. We often have last minute availability because babies tend to decide themselves when they want to arrive!

Investing in professional newborn photography is something that I have never, ever known anyone to regret in the whole of my 15 year photography career as a newborn photographer. I know this is a bit of a cliche, but time really will go by so quickly! This is never more true than those first few weeks with your new little miracle – because that’s what a new baby really is. You have just made this amazing little human, and no doubt you’ll be experiencing all kinds of emotions, including the most intense, overwhelming feelings of pure, unconditional love you will have never felt ever before. I’m not going to lie, you are probably going to also feel anxious, uncertain, and exhausted! The newborn stage can all go by in a bit of a blur to be honest.

Questions you might have
Where are the sessions held?
All sessions take place in our lovely photo studio which is located in Cwmbran, South East Wales, UK. Newborn sessions are usually held on weekday mornings around 11am.
WhO CAN BE IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS?
All immediate family members are always welcome to be included in the photographs with your new baby, and there is no additional charge.
What do I need to bring / have ready?
Just your usual changing bag, plenty of feeds for baby. You can choose to use any of our outfits, blankets and accessories, or bring your own along too if you would like to incorporate something personal in the photographs.

I was really nervous about having these photos taken, and just didn’t have a clue about posing, but Jane was so welcoming and made me feel really relaxed right from the start. I really love the photos I had taken and I’m so glad I did this photoshoot to remember my pregnancy.
